Joe-pye weed is a lovely plant to have in a native garden. The dark purple stem and whorled leaves complement the pink flowers of this handsome plant. Plant with Boneset (which blooms at the same time, July-Aug) for a lovely pink and white mix. Joe-pye weed flowers attract both butterflies and songbirds. The plant prefers to grow in full sun and average to wet conditions. It can tolerate any soil type (sand, loam, clay, muck). Comes in a 4 inch pot.
